little things

there are holes in the earth
great, big, gaping holes
there are also little things.
cats and dogs
with whiskers and ears
and paws and mouths
but there are great, big gaping holes in the earth,
how are there places like the grand canyon,
ginormous pits in the ground
and
little things with eyes and whiskers and ears?
how are there one-celled things, yet there are also forty- trillion celled things?
how is there desert,
great big lands with sharp things like cactuses
yet there are bodies of water,
oceans,
that just keep on going?
